Jennifer (Chessell) Daum started her gymnastics career at the age of seven at the Corona Club of Nepean, Ottawa. She continued at The Studio, the YMCA, and Festival City Gymnastics Club, which were all located in Stratford. Jen completed her career as a competitive gymnast at the Woodstock Gymnastics Club. Jen spent 25 hours a week in the gym preparing for meets and perfecting her skills. She competed at the provincial level for the Woodstock Gymnastics Club in Windsor, Cambridge and the provincials in North Bay.

At the age of 14 Jen had her first experience coaching a gymnastics class for the Festival City Gymnastics Club. Her career then led to coaching in London while going to college and then the Head Coach for the Stratford YMCA. She then moved to teaching Acro Gymnastics for Mitchell Entertainment and Dance Studio, and Dance Aarts Academy. When the dance studio moved on to Stratford, Jen remained in Mitchell and opened the Mitchell Gymnastics Club.

Jen is a NCCP Level 2 gymnastics coach, with college degrees in Office Administration and Fitness and Health Promotion. Jen is a certified Personal Trainer with Can-Fit-Pro, one of the most recognized fitness organizations in the world.

Jen has been married since 2001 to Jamie Daum, and she is also the mother of two, Stevie is 7 and Allyson who is 5 and resides in Mitchell.

As owner and Head Coach of the Mitchell Gymnastics Club since 2003, Jen is teaching classes six days a week to over 140 students. Not only does Jen have a passion for working with kids, she says being in the gym is one of her most favourite places to be second only to spending time with her family.

Hi, my name is Jenny Louwagie and I am 15 years old. I have been taking gymnastics from Jen since I was 8 and I have been a student coach for the past 3 years, this my 4th. I go to St. Michaels school and I am in grade 10.

I am Nichole Hiemstra and I am 15 years old. I go to St. Michaels Catholic Secondary School and I am in grade 10. I have taken gymnastics from Jen for the past six years and this will be my 2nd year as a student coach.

I am Nicole Wolfe and have just started working with the Mitchell Gymnastics Club this season. I am 16 years old and live outside of Stratford and have been taking Gymnastics from Jen now for a few years.

Michelle Chessell

Michelle helps with club functions, registrations, advertising etc. Michelle is a Real Estate Sales Person with Remax ab Realty.  She has been married to Steve Chessell since 1976.
